Solicitors Skydive Challenge

Pickworths Senior Partner Skydives on behalf of the Hospice of St Francis

Ian Tottman took up the challenge in aid of the Hospice after being inspired by his son who undertook a tandem Skydive in New Zealand.  Ian aimed to raise £1,000 but received such a great response from his clients as well as his family and friends that he exceeded his target by almost £200.  A mixture of disappointment and relief transpired when Ian’s initial skydive on 11 July was cancelled due to bad weather.  This was re-arranged for the 26 July when Ian finally accomplished his goal.

After a short training session Ian was taken into the sky flying to 10,000 feet before being attached to his experienced skydiver Mike.  When asked about the Skydive Ian said “it was a great experience and I am really glad I have done it.  I have been overwhelmed with the support I have had and would like to thank all those who donated.  I would however like to give special thanks to the Hospice for giving me the reason to do this Skydive.  I have to say that at this stage I am uncertain as to whether I would do another one, it just depends what other challenges come up for good causes, such as the Hospice.” For more information on the Hospice of St Francis go to:www.stfrancis.org.uk
