Pickworths senior partner Ian Tottman played a part in the Hertfordshire Mini Contact Rugby Festival which the Fullerians Rugby Club hosted for the county.
The festival held on April 24 and 25 hosted approximately 2200 players in 131 teams from all 20 youth clubs in Hertfordshire. There were 310 games played over the 2 days. Ian assisted in the games as he is a qualified referee. On the Saturday he gave support as a Pitch official in the under 9B tournament and then on Sunday refereed 7 of the games played in the under 12B tournament.
Ian said “it was good to be involved in such a successful weekend. A lot of club members worked really hard but it was worth it in the end. Like me all the referee’s were very tired by the end of the day and I for one was just grateful to go home and soak in a hot bath”
Pickworths were also proud to sponsor the Fullerians event that in turn sponsored the Herts air ambulance appeal. The appeal which does not get either Government or NHS funding needs £120,000 each month to keep their helicopter in the sky five days a week.
